We buy fresh bread and pastries at Yammine's. They also deliver pizza.

TSC is like a mini Fred Meyer. They sell everything from groceries to shovels, towels and toys.

Several small markets nearby sell fresh fruits and vegetables. We could easily live on fruits, vegetables, yogurt, olives and nuts.

Streets near our Apartment

We walk daily down these narrow streets lined with shops, some no bigger than a closet and specializing in watches, paints or light switches. Others are butchers open only at 7:00 a.m. and there are numerous selling fruits and vegetables.

Apartment in Beirut, Lebanon

This is the view from our balcony. We see the mountains in one direction and the Mediterranean Sea in the distance in the other direction. As fall approaches the view becomes clearer and the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. We enjoy our morning coffee and a leisurely dinner on the balcony.
